About

ROARK modern is a showroom located in the heart of Manhattan's design district. We work with the top architects and designers in New York and all over the world. Owned and operated by Lisa Bowles, whose background in interior design and architecture, ROARK provides a collection that appeals to designers and their clients. The light-filled loft setting provides an expansive environment that is smart, sophisticated and serene. There is a mix of styles and periods with deftly created moments and unexpected vignettes – you might see a 1970's Neil Small mirror over an 18th-century Italian Baroque console with a flemish nickel tea caddy.

Favoring original and finely handcrafted pieces, ROARK modern offers a wealth of decorative inspiration: hand-carved woodwork, flashes of gilt, richly patinated leathers and lustrous textured surfaces. These pieces are classic; they will always be special.

If nothing else, ROARK modern inspires. Antiques can play an integral part in any room. They have soul; they have presence.

Influenced by classic designs from the French 30’s thru the Italian 70’s, ROARK modern is introducing its own line of furniture, available to the trade in Fall 2014. Finishes will include lacquer, waxed plaster, eggshell, metallic leaf, and French polish. Materials will include nubby linen, exotic hides, parchment, and cerused oak. The line has been created to provide a consistent product for clients, including console tables, plaster lamps, side tables and chests of drawers that fill the requirements of most interiors.

Inspired by the past, headed to the future.
